CORTLANDVILLE — Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office arrested Genevee M. Oliver, 18, of South Street in the Village of McGraw, following an assault complaint on Main Street in McGraw at about 4:22 p.m. Aug. 27.
Authorities said Oliver engaged in a physical altercation with a juvenile before officers arrived at the scene.
During the arrest, Oliver allegedly failed to comply with lawful orders and resisted officers’ attempts to take her into custody.
Oliver was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, resisting arrest, and obstruction of governmental administration, all misdemeanors, and harassment in the second degree, a violation.
She was processed at the Public Safety Building and arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process at 8:00 p.m. that evening.
Oliver was released on her own recognizance.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sept. 8 in Town of Cortlandville Court.
