BATH — At approximately 12:11 a.m. on Aug. 29, officers were dispatched to a residence on Ash Street following a report of a physical domestic incident in progress.
Upon arrival, officers began an investigation at the scene.
During the investigation, the suspect, later identified as Samantha M. Thomas, 37, of Bath, was found to be highly intoxicated and refused to cooperate with authorities.
As the situation continued, Thomas repeatedly attempted to physically injure multiple officers present.
Thomas was taken into custody and charged with one count of obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and one count of attempted assault in the second degree, a Class E felony.
She was processed and then transported to Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment, after which she was released.
