MALONE — New York State Police arrested a 19-year-old woman Aug. 30 for allegedly using fake identification to try to enter a correctional facility.

Omariana A. Curry of Greece, N.Y., was charged with possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, two counts of criminal impersonation in the second degree, and criminal trespass in the third degree.

Troopers responded at approximately 8:23 a.m. to a report of an unauthorized visitor at the Upstate Correctional Facility.

Police said Curry was suspected of using a fake identification card in an attempt to enter the prison.

An investigation revealed that she provided a false name and an ID that did not belong to her, according to police.

Curry is prohibited from entering the facility due to a prior incident at another prison, police said.

She was arrested and taken to SP Malone for processing.

Curry was later arraigned in the Town of Malone Court and released on her own recognizance.

State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
