ROXBURY — A 40-year-old Roxbury man was arrested Monday on charges stemming from a domestic incident that occurred in the presence of a child.
Steven Karg was charged with harassment in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child after Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic dispute call.
Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced the arrest following an investigation into the incident.
Deputies interviewed the caller who reported being involved in the domestic dispute at a residence in the town of Roxbury.
The investigation determined that a physical domestic incident had occurred in the presence of a child, where Karg allegedly pulled the victim’s hair and threw a phone at her with intent to cause injury.
Karg was charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation of New York State Penal Law, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
He was processed and brought to Central Arraignment Part Court, where he was later released.
Karg was directed to appear at Roxbury Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
