BERLIN — The Berlin Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred Aug. 31 at approximately 9:31 p.m. near the intersection of West St. and Randall Road.
Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling west on West St. when it lost control.
The motorcycle struck a home and the operator was found nearby.
No occupants of the home were injured.
Berlin Fire/EMS responded to the scene to provide immediate aid.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries on scene.
The victim was a 23-year-old man from a neighboring town.
Police said they will release his name once the family has notified all next of kin.
Detectives from the Berlin Police Department along with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Reconstruction Team are investigating.
The West Boylston and Clinton Fire Departments assisted on scene.
