LINCOLN — A traffic stop by Lincoln Police early Thursday resulted in the seizure of a firearm and large-capacity magazines, authorities said.
At approximately 1:20 a.m. Aug. 28, officers observed a silver Cadillac make a turn without using a turn signal.
Police said a registration check revealed the vehicle’s registration had been canceled, prompting officers to initiate a stop.
The driver, identified as Amana Ojih, 26, of North Providence, was determined to have a suspended Rhode Island driver’s license.
During an inventory search prior to towing the vehicle, officers located a Glock pistol and three large-capacity magazines.
Ojih was taken into custody and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of large-capacity feeding devices, driving with a suspended license, turn signal violation and operating a vehicle with a canceled registration.
