RAMAPO — Police arrested a driver and passenger early Friday morning during a special holiday weekend DWI patrol.
Officers stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations on North Main Street shortly after midnight Aug. 30.
The driver was found to be driving while intoxicated and had a suspended license due to a previous DWI arrest in Ramapo last month, police said.
A passenger was found in possession of a controlled substance.
Both individuals were arrested and processed at the Ramapo Police Department.
They were released on separate appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Town of Ramapo Justice Court in September.
