Fall River man arrested in July shooting incident

FALL RIVER — A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a July shooting incident on King Philip Street.

Darien Bradley was taken into custody on the evening of Aug. 28 and charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residential building.

The incident occurred July 22 at approximately 10:12 p.m. when patrol officers responded to reports of a firearm discharge near the 800 block of King Philip Street.

Major Case Detectives arrived on scene and began their investigation.

A shirtless male matching Bradley’s description was observed on surveillance footage exiting a dark colored SUV.

A single gunshot was heard and observed on the surveillance footage at 10:12 p.m., and a 9mm shell casing was recovered at King Philip and Tripp Streets.

Through additional evidence and surveillance footage, Bradley was identified as the suspect responsible for the shooting.

Det. Matthew Gauvin served as the lead detective on the case.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
