Boston police arrest man on drug, firearm charges in South Boston

BOSTON — Officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District C-11 (Dorchester), C-6 (South Boston), and B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Shaheed Isaac, 20, of South Boston, on multiple drug and firearm offenses Thursday.

Officers were conducting a drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of W. 7th Street in South Boston.

As a result of the search warrants, officers located and recovered a Glock 9mm affixed with a flashlight, a plastic bag of crack cocaine, a working scale with cocaine residue, drug packaging material, and approximately $1,400 in U.S. currency.

Isaac was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court for two counts of possession with intent to distribute Class B, unlawful possession of a firearm, and improper storage of a firearm.

The suspect was also wanted on two outstanding warrants for distribution of Class B substance out of South Boston District Court.
