MALTA — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-car personal injury motor vehicle crash Tuesday at 8:14 a.m. on East High Street.
Investigation into the crash led to the arrest of Daniel A. Elliot, 21, of Ballston Spa, for DWI, speed not reasonable and prudent, and moving from lane unsafely.
Elliot is accused of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition.
He is also charged with operating his vehicle at a greater speed than was reasonable and prudent under the circumstances and with moving his vehicle from its lane without first ascertaining that he could do so safely.
Elliot’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
He was transported to Saratoga Hospital by Malta-Stillwater EMS for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Elliot was released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings in Malta Town Court.
