According to the Stamford Police Department, the operation was conducted by the Narcotics & Organized Crime Unit, with assistance from the Special Response Team, K9 Unit, and Midnight Patrol Division.

Officers executed a search warrant at the residence as part of an ongoing firearm investigation.

During the search, police recovered a Glock “41” .45 caliber handgun equipped with a high-capacity magazine containing 13 rounds, as well as a modification device known as a “switch” or “auto sear” that converted the handgun into a fully automatic weapon.

Gines also faces charges of possession of firearm enhancement and interfering with a search warrant.

He is being held on a $150,000 bond, with a 30 percent surety, and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.
