FRAMINGHAM — On Aug. 27, at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the Framingham Police Department’s Community Impact Unit, K9 Unit, and Patrol Division were in the downtown area awaiting a briefing with the US Marshals Service and the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section in order to attempt to serve a warrant for a male out of Ohio that has been accused of murdering his 2-year-old child and was believed to be in the city.
While on his way to the briefing, Framingham Police K9 Officer Andrew Lewis noticed a pair of individuals walking on the sidewalk, one of whom appeared to be wearing a wig.
Officers observed the individual and came to the determination that the individual wearing the wig was indeed the male that the USMS and VFAS were intending to arrest.
The male was placed in custody and booked at the Framingham Police Department.
The man, identified as Dioblis Williams, 25, of Columbus, Ohio, is being charged with a Massachusetts straight warrant for fugitive from justice and an Ohio warrant for murder.
