CHELSEA — A man was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant for multiple firearms offenses connected to a recent shooting in downtown Lawrence.
The Lawrence Police Gang Unit, working with the Massachusetts State Police VFAS Unit and the Chelsea Police Department, made the arrest Aug. 22.
Following the arrest, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in Chelsea, which led to the recovery of a loaded firearm.
The suspect was first transported to the Chelsea Police Department for courtesy booking, then transferred to the Lawrence Police Department, where he was booked without incident.
