OCEANSIDE — A 61-year-old East Rockaway man who owns a pizzeria was arrested on charges of sexually abusing a 15-year-old female employee.

Joseph Piccolo, owner of Pizzaiola Oceanside at 3191 Long Beach Road, was charged with forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse in the third degree.

The incident occurred on Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. at the restaurant, according to Nassau County police Fourth Squad detectives.

Police said Piccolo invited the teenage employee into his private office and told her to return to the restaurant after work when no other employees would be present so he could give her extra money without others noticing.

When the victim entered the restaurant office, she was handed $200 and Piccolo began touching her, police said.

The victim left the restaurant in fear of further abuse and told her father what occurred, police said.

The father and daughter reported the incident to police.
