CORTLANDVILLE — A 61-year-old Cortland man was arrested on petit larceny charges after allegedly stealing merchandise from a local Walmart on Aug. 23.
Anthony J. Pelligrini of Lincoln Avenue was taken into custody at 1:53 p.m. following an incident at the Walmart located at 819 Bennie Road in the town of Cortlandville.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the store at approximately 1:25 p.m. for a reported larceny.
Upon arrival, officers determined that Pelligrini had stolen merchandise from the store.
Pelligrini was transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and released on an appearance ticket.
He is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Town of Cortlandville Court on Sept. 8 at 1:00 p.m.
The charge is a misdemeanor.
