STERLING — The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 49-year-old Auburn woman on criminal contempt and child endangerment charges following a domestic violence incident Aug. 18.

Tina Goodluck of Sterling was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Sheriff Brian Schenck said Monday.

Deputies responded to a Sterling address at approximately 8:38 p.m. Aug. 18 regarding a third-party report of a physical domestic violence incident in progress.

Upon arrival, deputies found a male with an injury and determined Goodluck had been at the residence and involved in an altercation with him.

Following a brief search, deputies located Goodluck on the property with her minor child.

A current stay-away order of protection barred Goodluck from being at the property, leading to her arrest.

Both adults were transported to Auburn Community Hospital for evaluation of minor injuries from the altercation.

After her medical evaluation, Goodluck was transported to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building for processing.

The Auburn Police Department executed an outstanding warrant on Goodluck at the facility.

Goodluck was arraigned at CAP court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail.

The New York State Police, District Attorney’s Office, Child Protective Services, Victory Fire, Lakeshore Ambulance and Fair Haven Ambulance assisted in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
