PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested four people in separate incidents over the weekend, including a woman charged with driving under the influence with a child in the vehicle.
On Saturday at 8:30 p.m., troopers arrested Rosa Torres, 36, of Providence, for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with a child under 13 – first offense – BAC .1% – .15%.
The arrest resulted from troopers responding to reports of a disabled motor vehicle on Route 146 South.
Torres was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult.
On Sunday at 12:30 a.m., troopers arrested Ishmel Griggs, 31, of Hempstead, New York, as a fugitive from justice from Newberry Township Pennsylvania Police Department.
The original charges include forced entry, criminal trespass, access to device fraud, theft by unlawful taking, possession of an instrument of a crime with intent, and criminal mischief.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Candace Street.
Griggs was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
Also on Sunday at 2:20 a.m., troopers arrested Jose Pablo, 24, for obstruction and disorderly conduct.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Niantic Avenue.
Pablo was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult.
