ROTTERDAM — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the westbound lanes of the Thruway just west of exit 25 Saturday night.
New York State Police responded to the crash near the Interstate 890 interchange at approximately 8:50 p.m. Aug. 23.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries during the collision and was declared dead at the scene.
All westbound lanes were closed for the investigation, including collision reconstruction, until approximately 1:30 a.m. and have since reopened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
