BENSON — A Brandon man was cited for excessive speed and reckless endangerment after a Vermont State Police trooper clocked his vehicle traveling 86 mph in a 50 mph zone on Route 22a on Aug. 23.
Morton Pecor, 38, was stopped without incident after the trooper observed his vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, according to police.
The radar reading showed Pecor was driving 36 mph over the posted speed limit.
Two passengers were in the vehicle, including Jessica Batease, 38, of Rutland City, and a 12-year-old juvenile from Brandon.
Pecor was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Rutland Criminal Division on Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. to answer to the charges.
