4 injured in Greenwich vehicle crash

GREENWICH — Members of the Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department, New York State Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Greenwich Fire Department and Easton Greenwich EMS responded to a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident on Eddy Street in the village at approximately 12:40 a.m. Aug. 24.

Officers arrived on scene and located a single vehicle into a tree and a debris field in the roadway.

Eddy Street was immediately shut down in both directions from Cambridge Road to Colonel Baume Road.

Preliminary investigation revealed there were a total of four occupants in the vehicle.

Two occupants were transported to area hospitals by helicopter and are considered to be in stable but critical condition.

The other two occupants were transported to the hospital by private vehicle and have been since released with minor injuries.
