SCHENECTADY — A 29-year-old Schenectady man has been arrested in connection with an Aug. 11 shooting that wounded a woman in her 30s.
Ryan J. Perry was arrested Thursday by the Schenectady Police Department in partnership with the U.S. Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Perry faces charges including attempted murder in the second degree, criminal use of a firearm in the first degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
The shooting occurred at approximately 8:31 p.m. Aug. 11 in the area of Watt Street and Tremont Avenue.
Officers responded to a report of a female who had been shot and found an adult woman in her 30s suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and treated for what appeared to be a non-life-threatening injury.
