HALFMOON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 61-year-old man on DWI charges following a single-car crash Thursday evening.
Deputies responded to the collision at 7:27 p.m. on Clamsteam Road in Halfmoon.
Jeffery S. Hatter of Halfmoon was charged with DWI and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, both unclassified misdemeanors.
He also faces infractions for speed not reasonable and prudent, moving from lane unsafely and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Authorities say Hatter was operating his vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.10%.
He is accused of driving at an unreasonable speed, failing to stay in a single lane and leaving the crash scene without providing his license and insurance information.
The vehicle struck a tree and a mailbox, causing property damage.
Hatter was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Halfmoon Town Court.
