NORWALK — Norwalk police arrested a 22-year-old man on Aug. 18 after a reported armed threat during an argument over money near 26 Wall Street.

Officers responded around 8:00 p.m. following a 911 hang-up call.

Both parties had left the scene before police arrived.

An investigation determined that Bryan Andrade-Espinoza, of 21 High Street, had brandished a firearm, pointed it at the victim, and threatened to kill them.

According to police, Andrade-Espinoza had been drinking at El Mexicano when he and the victim became involved in a verbal confrontation.

Authorities allege that as the victim attempted to call 911, Andrade-Espinoza fled on foot, with the victim pursuing him along Main Street.

Police said Andrade-Espinoza then produced a firearm and pointed it at the victim.

The victim was able to disarm him and throw the weapon onto a nearby roof.

Responding officers recovered the weapon, identified as a “ghost gun” with no serial number.

Investigators confirmed that Andrade-Espinoza did not possess a valid pistol permit.

Andrade-Espinoza was taken into custody without further incident.

He is charged with illegal carry of a firearm while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drug, breach of peace second degree, threatening second degree with physical threat, carrying a pistol without a permit, and illegal possession of a firearm with no serial number.

Bond was set at $100,000.

His court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 29.
