RANDOLPH — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of VT Route 66 and East Bethel Road at 11:51 p.m. Aug. 20.
Troopers arrived to find that a Mitsubishi Mirage, driven by William G. Jenkins, 21, of Randolph, had gone off the roadway.
Police reported that Jenkins, who was wearing a seat belt, showed signs of impairment during their investigation at the scene.
Jenkins was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.
He was later released with a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Orange Criminal Division, on Sept. 10 at 8:30 a.m.
There were no reported injuries, and damage to the vehicle was described as minor to the front end.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the incident.
