BRAINTREE — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Peth Road and Green Road at 5:56 p.m. on Aug. 20.
Troopers determined that a 2018 Ford Escape operated by Gregory D. Flint, 65, of Braintree, had left the roadway.
Police reported clear weather and dry road conditions at the time of the incident.
During their investigation, troopers observed several signs of impairment in Flint and determined he had operated the vehicle in a negligent manner.
Flint was screened for impairment, placed under arrest, and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.
He was later released with a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court (Orange) Criminal Division on Sept. 10 at 8:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported, and no hospital transport was required.
The vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side and windshield.
Flint was charged with DUI #3 and negligent operation.
