NEWBURGH — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a serious traffic crash involving a tractor-trailer truck and a sports passenger car.
At 11:55 a.m., the Penobscot Regional Communication Center received several reports of a serious head-on collision on Route 69 in Newburgh.
The road will be blocked off for several hours as emergency personnel investigate the crash, and officials ask motorists to find alternate routes of travel.
The road is blocked between Route 202 and the North Road.
Details about those involved are not being released as deputies work with the family.
