Bath woman charged with assault after injuring officers at county building

BATH — A 29-year-old woman was arrested Aug. 15 after allegedly assaulting two law enforcement officers at the Steuben County Office Building, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.

Blair Devine of Colonial Lawns was charged with assault in the second degree, a class D felony, along with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, harassment in the second degree and disorderly conduct.

Deputies and officers responded to a report of a disorderly person in the Steuben County Department of Social Services lobby.

Devine allegedly engaged in fighting and disruptive behavior in the lobby.

She then allegedly intentionally struck and kicked two responding officers, causing injuries to both.

Devine was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and released.

The deputy and officer injured in the incident were treated and released at a local medical facility.
