Harrison police arrest man in country club vehicle break-in

HARRISON — The Harrison Police Department has arrested Jesse Foote, 59, of Stony Point, in connection with a smash-and-grab theft that occurred at the Westchester Country Club on Aug. 13.

At approximately 3:25 p.m., officers responded to a report that a vehicle belonging to a Westchester Country Club employee had been broken into, with the window shattered and a wallet stolen.

Following an investigation, officers identified a suspect and suspect vehicle.

Within hours of the initial report, Foote was located operating his vehicle on the Palisades Parkway.

Officers conducted a traffic stop without incident and took Foote into custody.

During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered proceeds from the larceny.

Foote has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree, a Class D felony; grand larceny in the 4th degree, a Class E felony; and criminal mischief in the 4th degree, a Class A misdemeanor.
