GLENS FALLS — A 33-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after leading police on a brief chase in a stolen vehicle that ended when she crashed into bushes.
Pebbles R. Slade was taken into custody without further incident after the pursuit ended in the area of South Street and East State Street around 4:55 p.m.
The Glens Falls Police Department was alerted to the vehicle theft from the Open Door Mission at approximately 4:50 p.m.
Officers on patrol spotted Slade operating the stolen vehicle in the area of Ridge Street and attempted a traffic stop.
Slade fled, leading to the short pursuit that ended when she crashed the vehicle into bushes.
Slade was charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer in the third degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree and grand larceny in the third degree.
She also received 12 uniform traffic tickets for violations committed during the pursuit.
Slade was arraigned in Warren County CAP Court and remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility with $10,000 cash bail.
She is scheduled to appear in Glens Falls City Court for further proceedings.
