Rhinebeck deputies interrupt burglary in progress at gas station

RHINEBECK — Dutchess County Deputy Sheriffs interrupted a burglary in progress at a Shell Gas Station on Sunday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies on patrol responded to the gas station at 3904 Route 9G at approximately 2:18 a.m. after a security alarm was activated.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the burglary in progress and took the suspect into custody without further incident.

Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to the scene for further investigation.

Sheriff Kirk Imperati said the case demonstrates the dedication of sheriff’s office personnel who work around the clock.
