UTICA — Utica Police and Utica Fire units were dispatched to the intersection of Walker Street and Kemble Street on Aug. 10 at approximately 4:40 p.m. regarding a stabbing investigation.
Upon arrival they located a male suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
He was immediately transported by UFD to Wynn Hospital for care.
Due to measures by Emergency Room personnel he survived the wounds and is expected to make a full recovery.
The case was assigned to a member of the Criminal Investigations Division due to the nature of the incident.
On Aug. 14 the suspect, Deronn Pool, 30, of Utica was located and charged with attempted assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.
