Drug task force arrests 3 in Hinsdale motel raid

HINSDALE — The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the Moonlight Motel on Route 16 on Aug. 13 at about 9 p.m.

The task force consisted of members from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and Salamanca Police Department.

Task force members were assisted by the Olean Police Street Crimes Unit, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, K-9 Lex, CIB, and patrol.

Investigation into the motel revealed a room was being used for the sale of illegal narcotics.

Officers seized approximately 188 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 30 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 24 grams of suspected cocaine, 13 grams of suspected fentanyl, and almost $9,000 in U.S. currency.

Multiple phones, scales, packaging, and other paraphernalia were also found.

Parrish T. Marks, 43, of Buffalo, Marquil L. Adams, 42, of Buffalo, and Rachel Y. Slawiak, 34, of Portville were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a class A-II felony.

Further charges and investigation are pending.

All three were arraigned and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail pending further proceedings.
