MOREAU — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 39-year-old man Sunday following a domestic incident on Park Drive.
Taylor C. Hatch of Moreau was charged with criminal contempt in the 1st degree, criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, criminal contempt in the 2nd degree, petit larceny, criminal mischief in the 4th degree and harassment in the 2nd degree.
Deputies responded to the active domestic incident call at 9:47 a.m. Aug. 12.
Hatch is accused of violating an order of protection by appearing at the protected person’s residence.
He allegedly grabbed the protected person by their throat and shoved them.
Hatch is also accused of damaging the protected person’s front door in an amount exceeding $250.
He allegedly prevented the victim from calling 911 by physically taking their phone.
Hatch is accused of stealing two phones belonging to the victim from the residence.
He was arraigned before Judge Jeffrey B. McCabe in Moreau Town Court.
Hatch was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
