TONAWANDA — An 82-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease who was reported missing Monday night has been found safe.
John T. Owczarek was last seen at 62 Fountain Park in Tonawanda at 10:41 p.m. Monday.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert for Owczarek, who was described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes.
He was last seen wearing shorts of unknown color, a white T-shirt and glasses.
Owczarek was believed to be driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado with New York license plate 87886JC.
The vehicle may have been in the area of Packard Road and Lockport Road in Niagara County.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Town of Tonawanda Police Department with the search.
The Silver Alert was canceled after Owczarek was located.
