SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Police Officers arrested two juveniles in connection with a stolen vehicle that crashed into several vehicles Monday at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Officers observed a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Agawam on State Street near Walnut Street.
At a red light, officers were attempting to conduct a traffic stop when the driver, later identified as a 14-year-old male, accelerated into the cruiser.
The driver in an attempt to evade police crashed into another vehicle before popping two tires driving up on the sidewalk.
The 14-year-old continued to drive before crashing into an unoccupied parked car on the 300 block of Wilbraham Road.
No one was injured in the three collisions.
All five occupants of the stolen car fled the vehicle on foot.
After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested the driver on Middlesex Street and one of the passengers, another 14-year-old male, on Bristol Street.
Due to their ages, the names, booking photos and specific charges the suspects face will not be released.
