SWANTON — Vermont State Police are searching for a missing 14-year-old girl who failed to return home Sunday evening.
Hailey Gill was last seen by her mother on Aug. 8 when she was picked up by a friend in a white BMW sedan at their Swanton residence.
She traveled to Main Street in Montgomery to stay with a friend for the weekend.
Gill was supposed to return home by 5 p.m. on Aug. 11 but did not arrive on time.
Police believe she is in the Enosburgh or Montgomery area with friends.
Gill is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.
She has been in contact with her mother and Vermont State Police since she was last seen but has not been physically located.
The incident does not appear suspicious, though there are concerns for Gill’s welfare as she is a juvenile.
