SPRINGFIELD — A 66-year-old Springfield man was arrested Monday evening on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and negligent operation following a road rage incident on Brockway Mills Road.
Arthur Steinberg was taken into custody at 7:05 p.m. July 14 after police investigated reports of the incident that occurred at 5:10 p.m. the same day.
According to Springfield Police Department, Steinberg was allegedly operating his vehicle in an unsafe manner and then brandished a handgun, pointing it at another driver and a juvenile passenger.
Steinberg was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on July 15 at 12:30 p.m.
He was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility and held without bail.
