Ogdensburg woman arrested for grand larceny, falsifying business records

OGDENSBURG — Members of the New York State Police arrested Tanya Schack, age 46, of Lisbon, NY, for grand larceny in the third degree and for falsifying business records in the first degree on Aug. 10.

On Oct. 22, 2024, at approximately 2:27 p.m., the New York State Police received information about an employee of the Advocacy and Resource Center who was falsifying business records.

An investigation revealed that Schack provided community habilitation waiver services for two individuals from April 1, 2023, to May 17, 2024.

During the investigation, it was found that Schack had altered documents to falsely report the time she worked, resulting in total compensation of $29,450.94.

Following her arrest on Aug. 10, Schack was processed at the SP Ogdensburg and was subsequently arraigned in the City of Ogdensburg Court, where she was released on her own recognizance.
