CLIFTON PARK — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 35-year-old man Friday on a bench warrant issued by Halfmoon Town Court for failing to appear on multiple charges.
Steve Balgobin was wanted on charges of criminal contempt in the 1st degree, a class E felony.
He also faced two counts of criminal contempt in the 2nd degree, both class A misdemeanors.
Additional charges included stalking in the 4th degree, a class B misdemeanor, and harassment in the 2nd degree, a violation.
Balgobin was also charged with bail jumping in the 2nd degree, a class E felony, for allegedly failing to appear in court on the required date.
The bail jumping charge alleges he failed to appear voluntarily within 30 days after being charged with a felony and allowed to remain at liberty by the court.
He was arraigned before Judge Joseph V. Fodera in Halfmoon Town Court.
Balgobin was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
