Springfield police arrest man on DUI, child cruelty charges after crash

SPRINGFIELD — Police arrested a North Springfield man on several charges following a single-vehicle crash on Reservoir Road on July 9.

Officers responded at approximately 4:48 p.m. to the area of 93 Reservoir Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, police found a vehicle overturned on its roof over an embankment.

The occupants had exited the vehicle and sustained minor injuries.

An investigation identified the driver as Dylan Davis, 34, of North Springfield.

According to police, Davis was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and had a juvenile passenger at the time of the crash.

Davis was taken into custody without incident.

He was processed at the police station and issued a criminal citation.

Davis is scheduled to appear at Windsor County Criminal Court on July 29 to face charges of driving under the influence, cruelty to a child, and criminal driving with a suspended license.
