MADISON — Madison police responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a residence on Mooney Hill Road just before 7 p.m. on Aug. 8.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim who reported that David J. Ditty, 46, had violated a restraining order.
The victim alleged that Ditty physically assaulted them after forcefully entering the residence.
Ditty fled the scene before police arrived.
Officers located and seized his vehicle a short distance from the residence.
Police said Ditty was previously out on bail for incidents in June and July involving domestic violence simple assault and a protection order violation.
An active arrest warrant has been issued for Ditty on charges including domestic violence assault, violation of a protection order, criminal trespass, obstructing the report of a crime, stalking, and burglary.
All charges and allegations against Ditty are accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Police stated there is no known danger to the public.

Deputies and a K-9 unit from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Effingham police K-9 unit, Conway police aerial drone unit, and New Hampshire State Police assisted in the response.
