Woman arrested on warrant after walking in Eden roadway

EDEN — A Calais woman was arrested Thursday afternoon on an active warrant after reports of her walking in a roadway.

Vermont State Police responded to VT Route 100 near VT Route 118 in Eden at approximately 4:51 p.m. after multiple callers reported a woman obstructing traffic.

Troopers identified the woman as Kaylee Sevene, 26, of Calais.

Police determined Sevene had an active in-state warrant for failure to appear on charges of retail theft, petit larceny and violation of probation.

Sevene was taken to the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $200 bail.

She is scheduled to appear at Chittenden County Superior Court on Friday at 8:30 a.m.
