AUBURN — The Auburn Police Department Detective Bureau executed a search warrant at 43 Chestnut Ave. at 6:05 a.m. Thursday, July 24.
Contact at the home was first made by members of the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT Team due to concerns about potential weapons.
A loudspeaker announced law enforcement’s presence with a court-authorized warrant before entry.
Six people were arrested, and one loaded firearm was recovered.
The operation followed surveillance and a digital investigation linking the home to human trafficking.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Benley Lysius, the primary suspect, who allegedly advertised prostitution and received proceeds from the activity.
Drug activity was also reported at the residence daily.
Auburn and Worcester police later searched a Worcester storage unit, finding a second loaded firearm tied to Lysius.
Lysius faces additional charges from Worcester police for unlawful firearm possession.
Those arrested include Lysius for human trafficking and firearm charges, Corianna Dupuis for shoplifting and drug possession, Rebecca Falke for shoplifting, Joseph Costin for OUI and drug possession, Precious Johnson for receiving stolen credit cards, and Tmarrie Johnson for multiple firearm offenses.
The three women arrested are not believed to be trafficking victims.
