Providence man arrested after traffic stop on weapons, reckless driving charges

LINCOLN — Troopers arrested Keenen Moses, 34, of 1905 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, Rhode Island, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, for carrying a concealed pistol without a permit, possession of a prohibited large-capacity feeding device, reckless driving, and obstruction of an officer.

The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Douglas Avenue in Providence.

Moses was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, arraigned as a probation violator, and taken into custody by Rhode Island Sheriffs.

LINCOLN — Troopers arrested Christopher Benjamin, 33, of 7 Job St., Providence, at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, for identity theft, providing false documents to a public official, and possession of false identification.

The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation and Benjamin’s apprehension at Navigant Bank in Providence.

He was processed at Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future court date.

LINCOLN — Troopers arrested Antonio Palmer, 34, of 125 Goff Ave., Pawtucket, at 1:28 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, for driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test.

The arrest followed a traffic stop on Goff Avenue in Pawtucket.

Palmer was processed at Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and held overnight as a probation violator pending court arraignment.
