NEWFANE — A Wardsboro man was cited for simple assault following a dispute on Dover Road on Aug. 6.
Troopers from the Westminster Barracks responded to the incident at 5:16 p.m.
Investigators determined Joshua M. Jones, 29, assaulted Jonathan K. Gates, 58, both of Wardsboro.
Jones was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on Aug. 7 at 12:30 p.m.
He was released with conditions.
