Stephen Ferrea, 35, of 376 West Reach Drive, Jamestown, was arrested by members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and Jamestown Police on a Newport County Superior Court bench warrant for bail violation.

The original charge stems from possession of child pornography out of the Portsmouth Police Department.

Ferrea was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Jamestown Police.

In a separate case, Michael Johnston, 23, of 44A Miller Avenue, Providence, was arrested by the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for possession of child pornography.

Judge Goulart set bail at $2,500 with surety, along with limited internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.

In Connecticut, Andrew Burros, 38, of 7 Rangely Drive, Trumbull, was arrested by Trumbull Police with assistance from Rhode Island’s Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

An extraditable warrant was issued for Burros on charges of indecent solicitation of a child.
