Boston police arrest 3 in East Boston drug trafficking investigation

BOSTON — Three men were arrested Monday on drug trafficking charges following a search warrant execution in East Boston.

Kyle Terrill, 34, of Roxbury, Brian Albrecht, 34, of Boston, and Stephen Linnane, 47, of Boston, were taken into custody by officers from the Drug Control Units of District B-2 and District D-14.

Officers were conducting a drug investigation in the area of 63 Chelsea Street when they observed Terrill exiting the address with two other men at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Police approached the group and identified themselves as Boston Police officers before placing Terrill in handcuffs without incident.

A search of Terrill’s backpack revealed one large plastic bag containing 163 grams of methamphetamine, one plastic bag containing 40 grams of fentanyl, and a stun gun.

Officers also stopped and searched the two other individuals.

Albrecht was found in possession of seven plastic bags of fentanyl totaling 14 grams, two plastic bags containing 6 grams of cocaine, three plastic bags containing 26 grams of methamphetamine, 14 suboxone pills, a plastic bag believed to contain psychedelics, and various unknown pills.

Linnane was found with loose methamphetamine in his pockets.

All three suspects are expected to be arraigned in East Boston District Court.

Terrill faces charges of trafficking Class A and trafficking Class B substances.

Albrecht is charged with trafficking Class A, trafficking Class B, and two counts of possession with intent to distribute Class B substances.

Linnane is charged with possession of Class B substances.
