Albany man arrested on drug charges in Clinton

CLINTON — Troop K Community Stabilization Unit observed a 2020 Jeep northbound on the Taconic State Parkway in violation of New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law on Tuesday at approximately 10:59 a.m.

The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Quintril M. Clark, 35, of Albany.

An exterior sniff of the vehicle was conducted utilizing State Police K9 Wild.

The canine alerted to the presence of narcotics.

A subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, which yielded approximately 383 grams of crack cocaine and 213 grams of fentanyl.

Also seized was approximately $2,641 cash.

Clark was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession Controlled Substance-1st: Narcotic Drug 8 ozs or more, a class A-I felony.

He was also charged with Criminal Possession Controlled Substance-2nd: Narcotic Drug 4 ozs or more, a class A-II felony.

Clark faces two counts of Criminal Possession Controlled Sub-3rd: Narcotic Drug Intent to Sell, a class B felony.

He was additionally charged with New York State Vehicle & Traffic Law violations.

Clark was arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.

A preliminary hearing will be set for a later date.
