Burke man arrested on domestic assault, threatening charges

BURKE — Vermont State Police arrested a 28-year-old man early Friday morning on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and criminal threatening.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a report of domestic assault in Burke at approximately 12:15 a.m. Aug. 2.

Investigation revealed that Miguel Santiago of Burke had committed the offenses, police said.

Santiago was arrested and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

He was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Aug. 4 at 12:30 p.m.

Santiago is being held at the Northeastern Correctional Complex without bail.

Vermont State Police do not release the names of victims of domestic violence.
