GREECE — Two 18-year-old Rochester residents have been charged in connection with a multi-town property crime spree that occurred during the early morning hours of June 16.

DeWayne Simmons Jr. is currently in custody at the Monroe County Jail and faces charges including burglary in the third degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, multiple counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal mischief in the second and third degrees, and petit larceny.

Kamari Williams remains at large and is wanted on charges of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree and attempted identity theft in the third degree for the use of stolen credit cards in Henrietta and Greece.

The Greece Police Department investigation connected incidents in the Town of Greece, Brighton, and the City of Rochester.

Detectives identified both suspects through surveillance video, license plate reader data, physical evidence, and coordinated efforts with the Brighton Police Department, Monroe County Probation, and the Monroe Crime Analysis Center.

A stolen 2020 Kia Sorento used in the commission of the crimes was recovered on St. Paul Street in Rochester and processed for evidence, further linking both suspects to vehicle larcenies and fraudulent retail activity.

Anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Greece Police Department tip line at 585-581-4016 or email tips to GPDTips@GreeceNY.gov.
